Marie T. Fama, 92, long-time resident of Ashburn, VA and Vienna, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, in Apex, NC with her loving children at her side. Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Charlie. She is survived by her three children: Stephen (Peggy Burdge) Fama, Diane Fama, and Annette (Dann) Rockwell; her granddaughters Austin (James) Murray, Lane (Kyle) Wigmore and her great-granddaughter, Josie Wigmore. Mr. John Matthew Page, 78, of Waynesville passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was born on March 15, 1945, to Matthew Page Jr. and Ruth Delatush in Monmouth, New Jersey. John is preceded in death by his parents. Left to treasure his memory are his wife of forty-six years, Anne Page; two sons, Erik Page (Violeta) and Justin Page; one daughter, Laura Maness (Johnathan); one brother, Doug Page; and nine grandchildren, Jake, Josh, Tony, Ben, Christopher, Aidan, Brendan, Liam, and Elizabeth. Ronald Ray Miller, 78, of Youngsville, NC , went to be with our Lord on April 3, 2023. He was born in Logan, WV on September 14, 1944, to the late Margaret A. Miller Horn. Surviving are his wife, Donna Miller of Youngsville, NC; one daughter, Kimberly Deaner of Wake Forest, NC; and his grandchildren, Chelsea Deaner, Frank Deaner, III , and Madelynne Deaner, all of North Carolina. There will be a private gathering ant a later date and Ronald will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Sissonville, WV. Donald R. Pettit passed away Monday evening, the 13th of March 2023, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC after recently moving from Greenhurst, NY. Don was born in Westfield, NY August 23, 1942 to Geraldine Mae Wester Pettit and Richard J. Pettit. The first years Don grew up with his maternal grandparents, August and Irene Wester, on a small farm in the Chautauqua Gorge where his love and knowledge of the outdoors was formed. Don graduated from Brocton Central School, class of 1960. He was later married to Donna Rose Markham in February 1966 and they lived in Newton, NJ for 12 years before moving back to Chautauqua County. Janice Sink Ellis went home on January 12, 2023, after a few years of declining health. She was born on September 22, 1935, to Stamey E. and Dixie J. Sink in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Janice graduated from Grey High School after marrying Charlie W. Ellis and made her home in Lewisville, North Carolina. In the late 60's she worked at the Town Steakhouse at Thruway Shopping Center to raise and support her three children while going through a tough and abusive divorce. She then went on to work with Winston Salem/Forsyth County School System as the cafeteria manager at Kernersville Elementary, Kernersville Junior High, and East Forsyth Senior High Schools. Carole Ann Ramsey, 77, of Durham, formerly of Belhaven, died peacefully on Jan. 17, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living in Durham after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard "Dick" Ramsey and her son Mark Ramsey and survived by daughter Julie Ramsey, son Paul Ramsey (Jeanne Dusseault), son John Ramsey, son Scott Ramsey (Susana), sister Jeanne Hurlbut (Don), seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
