Judith E. Bauer, age 83 of Durand, died Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Advent Health in Durand with her family by her side. Judy was born on February 21, 1942 in La Crosse. She was the daughter of John and Mary (Davy) Blair. Judy grew up in Brownsville, MN and graduated from Loretto High School in Caledonia, MN. Judy married John A. Bauer on September 10, 1960 in Brownsville, MN. Judy and John later moved with their family to Winona, MN and in 1969 they moved to Durand, where she remained the rest of her life. Gordy was born March 18, 1940, to Lena (Helmueller) and David Gifford. He entered the world with a joy for life, hard work, and valuing relationships with family and friends. Arlene (Arly) Margaret Gruber, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8th, 2020 at her home in Rock Falls, WI, with family by her side. Arly was born June 24, 1930, in Rock Falls to Vincent and Genevieve (Yenny) Schuh. On October 4, 1950, she married Kenneth Gruber of Bear Creek, Town of Canton. They moved to Rock Falls and bought the Swan farm in 1953. Arly and Ken enjoyed farming and were great support to son Chris when he took over operations in the mid 1980's.
