She was born February 20, 1934 near Onaga, the daughter of George and Elsie (Fairbanks) Annan. She graduated from Onaga High School and from St. Mary's College of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri. Betty was a Registered Nurse. She worked for the Onaga Hospital, the Westy Care Home in Westmoreland, the Pottawatomie County Health Department, and for Drs. Reitz, Miller and Meek in Manhattan. Helen Elizabeth Abramson (Barnett) of Cassoday (by way of Holton,) Kansas passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 22, 2021. Helen, born September 30th 1931 in Muscotah, was the daughter of Samuel Luther (Luke) and Margaret A. (Thomas) Barnett, who both preceded her in death. HOLTON - Lester Stallbaumer, 82, of Holton, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Pines South Nursing Facility near Holton. He was born October 17, 1937 on the farm, north of Corning, the son of Suitbert and Elizabeth Hutfles Stallbaumer. He attended Corning Schools and helped out on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Army in California for six months and in Germany for eighteen months. Lester worked in construction as a crane operator and bridge builder for Welliever Construction of Holton for forty-five years. He retired in 2002. She was born March 9, 1945 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Bernard and Edna Anderson Woodall.
