Hollis W. Shaw May 17, 1931 - December 25, 2023 Durham, North Carolina - Hollis William Shaw was born May 17, 1931 in Durham, North Carolina, to Grover and Catherine Shaw. He passed away December 25, 2023 in Durham. Hollis graduated Lincoln Academy in 1949 and served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He graduated Talladega College in 1959, and earned his master's in clinical psychology from NCCU in 1961. He married Genora Lassiter in 1965. Mr. Ulysses Ray Hargrove, 69, died Monday, January 28, 2019 in Durham, NC. His service will be held at 1pm on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Christian Faith Center, 101 S. Peachtree St, Creedmoor, NC. Interment will follow in Meadowview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 12pm-1pm prior to the service. Mr. Hargrove is survived by his wife Cassandra Ambush Hargrove formerly of Adamstown, MD., the oldest daughter of Webster and Jeanette Ambush.
