Carol Ann Kelly Black, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 at her residence in Danville, VA. She was born on Saturday, February 10th, 1940 in Kingsport, TN to the late Claiborne Kelly and Margaret Moseley Kelly. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Frank Black, her daughter Teri Dawn Haraway (Matt), her son David Black (Karen), her grandchildren Ashley Lewis, Zachary Lewis, Steven Black and Jacob Black, as well as her four great-grandchildren. Daniel Keith Morrison, 59 years young, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on July 8, 2022 at home with his wife, friend, and furbabies by his side. He is survived by his wife, Deborah and two stepsons, Chad and Jonathan, his sister, Pat, niece, Merrilee, nephews, Tom and Matt. Private memorial service will held at a later date. Patricia Lee Derr Beamer, wife of Firman Beamer, passed away at her home on March 19, 2022, in Bullock, NC, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Geneva, New York on July 2, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Sadie Hulsizer Derr. Patricia found her calling in caring for others and was passionate about the work she did in home health care. She was an avid shopper who enjoyed the hunt of a good bargain. My brother, David, reached his arms down from Heaven and took our Dad home. W. Jack Holt was a Durham, NC native. He was a 4 star letterman at Durham High School, a graduate of UNC and a Korean War veteran. He was a businessman in banking, sporting goods and cars. He was able to spend the last 25 years at his beloved Kerr Lake with many dear friends. He was known there as the "Sheriff of the Ponderosa". He was the best Dad ever. Jerry's engines roared to life 7-27-1961 and he crossed the finish line 12-3-2019 after an 11-year battle with cancer. Jerry loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, going to the race, shooting, coaching Special Olympics Bocce Ball, fishing from the beach, the pier or his boat the "Miss Hope". Even mowing the grass brought him joy as long as he was outdoors. Cape Hattaras held a special place in his heart. He also loved his FedEx route driving the big rig.
