Deborah Ann Gingrich, 73, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She was born on December 18, 1950 to parents Paul and Nancy Kreiser. She is survived by husband Keith Gingrich, sister Paula Kreiser, aunt Dot and Uncle Bud Johnston, nephew Jeff Milburn (Jen), great nephew Charles Milburn, and great niece Virginia Milburn. Deb graduated from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1971, and earned her B. S. in Nursing from the York College of Pennsylvania in 1990. Born at West Point, NY, where his father was teaching Military Art & Engineering, he grew up as a typical Army Brat. In 1951, he graduated from Texas Military Institute in San Antonio, where he was the cadet battalion commander. He then attended The Sullivan School in Washington, DC, before entering West Point with the Class of 1956. Harold E. Stum, 95, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born April 17, 1929, in Newville, PA, he was a son of the late Simon and Pearl Stum. He was the loving husband of the late Mabel J. Stum, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage. Harold attended State Road Schoolhouse in Newville and was a member of Waggoner's Church in Carlisle. Virginia "Ginny" Sorley, longtime resident of Potomac, MD, died Friday, February 2, 2024, at Chapel Point, Carlisle, PA. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the eldest daughter of the late Alexander Mezey and Margaret Sullivan, she grew up in Manhasset, NY, then attended DePauw University for two years, joining Alpha Phi sorority, and subsequently graduated from the University of Maryland. Later, she earned a Master of Library Science degree from Long Island University. In 1956, Ginny married Richard Becker, a West Point graduate. Born on October 1, 1927, in Newville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd A. and Katherine "Louise" Martin. June received her RN nursing degree from Temple University in 1949.
