Lloyd Shanks passed away on November 12, 2025, at his residence in North Augusta after a full life of 97 years. Lloyd was born outside the small town of Marble Hill, Missouri, "up in the holler", as they say, into a home with no electricity or running water. He was raised there with four sisters and three brothers, the son of a farmer and carpenter, where farm life taught him early on to make almost anything out of almost nothing. He grew up helping out on the farm, hunting and fishing in the Missouri hills, and still found time to play on the Lutesville High School basketball team.
