James "Jim" Daniel Cole passed away on December 29, 2021, at the age of 80 in his home in Covington, Louisiana. Jim served as Newpark Resources President and CEO, as well as Board Chair, from 1976 - 2005, and was noted by Wall Street for bringing the company to the New York Stock Exchange twice, as well as spearheading several innovative technological solutions that shaped the entire industry as well as internationally expanding the company.

Barbara Joan Smyczynski passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in Covington, LA. She was born on June 6, 1937 in Buffalo, NY to the late John Smyczynski and Helen Kwaitkowski Smyczynski. Barbara was the beloved sister of Harry Smyczynski. She was the loving aunt of Robert Smyczynski (the late Julie). Barbara was the proud great-aunt of Christian Smyczynski (Tanya) and Jason Smyczynski (Joanna); great great-aunt Sydney and Maggie. Edward Frank Zalot passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020. He was born on February 9, 1950 in Hadley, MA to Frank and Marion (Kokowski) Zalot. Edward is survived by his best friend and the mother of his children, Lynne Pittman; his daughters Jessica Zalot, Elizabeth Cusimano (Jacobi) and Danna O'Pezio Collins (Patrick); and his grandchildren Matthew DeCossas, Jack Collins, Emily Canales and Catherine DeCossas. He is also survived by his sisters J.M. Stowe, Kristine Waskiewicz, and Joanie Fish; as well as many nieces and nephews.
