Mrs. Helen Virginia Kurpis, 100 years young, peacefully entered the kingdom of heaven on July 10, 2023. She was the sixth and youngest child of Mr. Frank and Mrs. Palma Gobbi, born, raised and educated in New York. Friends since childhood, Helen was married to her husband, George Richard Kurpis, for 67 years before he predeceased her in 2011. Their son, Russell Richard Kurpis, also predeceased her. Both their daughter, Christine, and son, Russell, were born in Bronxville, New York where the family resided for many years. They married in 1957 before immigrating to the United States in 1959. In New York, Manny returned to work at Coca-Cola, and Sue worked at Long Island University.
