Nancy Jean Ross, 82, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Pruitt Health in Savannah, Georgia. Nancy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 22, 1941, and lived in Georgia on Whitemarsh Island for the last few years. She loved spending time listening to Elvis Presley, shopping, and growing Orchids. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Red (Ron) Ross; mother, Mabel Marshall; father, Edrie Wood; brother, Ed Wood; and sister, Patricia Davis. Mina Kronenberger, 74, went to be with the Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Mrs. Kronenberger was born in Seoul, Korea on September 24, 1949, and lived in Savannah for most of her life before moving to Effingham in 2014. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and most of all spending time with her family and pets, Fefe and Tete. Mr. John Arthur Battle, 82, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Effingham County Hospital. Mr. John was born on May 13, 1937 in Schley County to John and Ruth Battle. He was a graduate of Georgia Southwestern College and a United States Navy Veteran. Mr. Battle was a 32? member of Guyton Masonic Lodge # 428, F. & A.M's, and a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. For many years Mr. John served as a representative on the Effingham County Zoning Board, and on the board of the Effingham County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
