Sonia "Sunny" Tucker passed away from renal failure on Sunday, August 4, 2024. She was born in Charlotte, N.C. on May 17, 1944, the youngest of four girls. At 18, she met the love of her life, Thomas "Tuck" Tucker. They were married six months later in 1963. They moved back to Tuck's home state of Texas in 1968. They settled in Friendswood, raising their two daughters, Sloan and Shannon, until their retirement in 2003. She worked for Friendswood ISD for well over 20 years.
