Born in Altoona, PA, March 19, 1961, she was a daughter of the late Gerald Joseph Hoefler and Margaret Marie Piper Hoefler. Rita earned an associate's degree in accounting from South Hills Business School in State College, PA. She worked for many years as a merchandizer until her health declined. She enjoyed the goat farm that she and her husband built and have tended for over twenty years and loved all animals, especially her donkey, Jill. Dr. Ronald Paton Lane, 87, of Griffin, died Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Barclay House Memory Care of Carrollton. Dr. Lane was born, October 11, 1937, in Butts County, to the late Robert Homer Lane and Ada Margaret Weaver Lane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Dean Lane. Dr. Lane was a 1955 graduate of Jackson High School. After graduation he planned to be a farmer, but after several years he decided to go to college. Born in Decatur, IL, June 10, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Wilma Mae Hall Rupp. Mrs. Langley was retired after over twenty years of service as a teacher at Babb Junior High School in Forest Park.
