Jack was 75, a retired Special Game Warden for the State of Wisconsin, has passed to the Happy Hunting (and Fishing) Grounds. He leaves behind son David of New Orleans LA, sister Barbara of Vancouver WA, twin sister Carol Mosby of Bozeman MT, and brother Murf of Pardeeville WI. A memorial will be held in WI on June 1st. Earl J. ("Jack") Schaper, formerly of Portage WI passed away on 12/29/2023, after throat cancer surgery at University of Washington Hospital in Seattle. He was 75. Jack was born in Portage, the older son of Ruby and Earl Schaper and the twin of Carol, with whom he lived for the last 6 years of his life. Jack graduated from PHS in 1967 and attended the WI School of Electronics, graduating in 1969. He worked for GTE for 3 years, City of Portage for 30 years, Frontier for 8 years, but his true love was being a DNR game warden for more than 30 years. He attended Skyline High School where he exceled at basketball earning the title of Gem State Player of the Year in 1981. He went on to attend College of Southern Idaho and Lewis Clark State College playing basketball for both. Thomas Carlyle Cope was born September 20, 1925 in Watertown, South Dakota, and passed January 8, 2020 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Tom lived 94 full years and was a Puget Sound resident since 1955. Born at home to Thomas Eugene and Pearle Rebecca (nee Sleeper) Cope, Tom was the youngest of seven children.
