Kate was born on June 24, 1936 in Caledonia, Minnesota to Frank and Benerva (Berquam) Morey. Kate went to country school in Houston County and graduated from Caledonia High School, a few days prior to marrying Jerald Holland. They were married at Wilmington Lutheran Church in rural Caledonia on June 11, 1955. Soon after their wedding, they moved to Austin where they lived ever since. Duane D. Perry, age 91 of Lansing passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born June 15, 1930 in Austin, Minnesota to Del and Lurenne (Stromer) Perry. He attended Austin High School. Duane served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He married Darlene Cunningham in November 1954 and they had four children. Duane was employed by the Hormel Foods Corporation. Tom attended school at AARC, now Cedar Valley, which his mother started and where his mom and Aunt Geneva Johnson taught school. While living at home in Austin, the framers of all the new homes in Sterling Addition would have him counter sink nails and then take him for coffee and pie. Marcene Marene (Austinson) Pell, age 95 of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on May 24, 2020 due to natural causes at Sacred Heart Care Center where she resided for the past six months. Marcene celebrated her 95th birthday on May 17th and she knew it was time to say "goodbye" to her family. We all gathered outside her window that day and she smiled and waved at us.
