Dianne's death brings her peace and comfort after a stoic nearly four-year struggle following the grief of losing her beloved husband, Ben, in August 2020, the loneliness and isolation of a pandemic with her family hundreds and thousands of miles away, the sadness of being the part of a generation where the news of the passing of friends and family is all too frequent, and finally the betrayal of her own body which, with age and this emotional toll, became more frail and unforgiving with each passing day. Nancy "Nan" Ann Krause, 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2024 after a slow decline these past years and a brief illness the past months. Nan was born November 9, 1932 in Wausau, the daughter of William and Eleanor (Gehrke) Pautz. On July 9, 1955, Nan married Gerald "Jerry" A. Krause, a lifelong friend who actually visited her in the hospital when she was born. Family was so very important and precious to Nan. She was blessed by God becoming a mom with the birth of Timothy J. Krause in 1958. Second-born was Andrew K. Krause in 1960 and Elizabeth A. Krause arrived in 1963. Pete's legacy is defined by his exceptional athleticism at Sturgeon Bay, where he excelled in basketball, track and field, and football, graduating in 1956. He furthered his education at Northwest Missouri State, earning his undergraduate degree. She was born Angela Marie Sabetti in Providence, RI on March 30, 1929 to Carmela Anne Scarduzio and Philip Sabetti.
