His parents preceded him in death, as did John Edward (brother), Lois (sister), and Louise (oldest child). Married twice, his previous wives also preceded him in death. Lewis Sr is survived by Annie (sister), Shannan (daughter), Lewis Jr (son), and six grandchildren. Lewis Sr was a man of nuance, even if he didn't know the meaning. David Wilbur Atchison, 83 of New Bern, passed away on October 5, 2019. He is survived by his sons, Jeff Atchison and Justin Atchison; daughters, Jonnie Purkey, Jody Givens and Jill Creter; sister, Delite Fox; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
