Linda H. Pollok, 73, of Jonesboro, GA passed away peacefully on the morning of November 24, 2023, after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on July 20,1950 in Terre Haute, IN, the eldest child of the late William and Lydia Hillis. As the daughter of an Army officer, she and her siblings were always moving - across the country and around the world. She ended up in Georgia for her senior year of high school. During that year (1968), she met Pete, who, after their second date, asked for her hand in marriage. Mr. Roy Duncan Besszong, 78, of Jonesboro, passed away January 9, 2021. He was born January 6, 1943 in Miami, FL to the late John Mervin and Elvira Besszong. Mr. Besszong graduated from Miami Jackson High School in 1961 and served honorably in the United States Army from 1961-1965 stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. He married Molly Clendenen Besszong on October 17, 1992 at the Mary Branan United Methodist Church in East Point, GA. Mr. Besszong was an over-the-road long distance driver for over 50 years and retired from Roadway Freight Co. He received an award and recognition for driving over 1 million miles accident-free. Pamela Susan Chandler, 57, of Riverdale, GA passed away on March 1, 2019. She was born in Atlanta, GA on January 11, 1962 to the late Everett and Virginia Hogue. She had an amazing zest for life. Her smile, the twinkle in her eye, would always make everyone around her happy. She was an amazing mother, wife, and grandmother. Pam is survived by spouse, Harold Garrett; son, Joshua Chandler; daughters, Coresa Chandler and Bonnie Garrett; and her five grandchildren. She will be missed but always in her family's hearts.
