Polson - Bonnie Dostert Kimball, age 80, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson. Bonnie Jean was born in Oakland, California on February 26, 1943, to parents Vernon and Thelma (Hopstad) Dostert. The family returned to Nashua, Montana where she graduated from high school, then enrolled at MSU in Bozeman. In 1965, she married David Miller and to this union a son Lance Josef was born. She was employed at First Security Bank in Bozeman for 32 years as a loan officer. In 1984 she married Herb Kimball. They retired and moved to Polson in 2003 and spent many winters in Arizona. Polson-John Sidney Koopmans went home to Jesus on March 14, 2023, at the age of 90. He was born December 30, 1932. John was a member of Grace Bible Church in Bozeman and a Gideon. Donations in his memory can be made to the Gideon Organization. He is survived by daughter, Susan, (Steven) and son, Kenneth, (Sherry), six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Shawn (Buckshot) Kent McElwee, age 41, passed away August 26, 2019 at his home in Phoenix, AZ of a heart attack. Shawn was born December 18, 1977 in Bozeman, MT to Rodney and Caryl McElwee. The next year they moved to the Norris, MT area. Shawn attended the first grade at Harrison, MT. The following summer the family moved to Belgrade, MT where he finished his schooling and graduated from Belgrade High School in 1996. In school he was active in football, baseball, and boy scouts, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout in 1996.
