Allen was born on May 18, 1938 to James Albert Dorris and Susie May Mitchell Dorris in Springhill, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 87. He will receive military honors from VFW Post 4709 Honor Guard for his service in the Air Force.
