William Carson Turner, age 89, formally of Welches Creek, KY passed away March 31, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1934 to the late Bertie Allen and Estella Pearl Embry Turner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and married to the late Jerldean Embry Turner. He is survived by his children, Steven Turner (Nichole) and Cynthia Howe (Michael), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. April 4, 2024 at the Rabbit Flat General Baptist Church. with burial in the church cemetery. Dermitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Thurman Ray Stone passed away Wednesday, (January 10, 2024). He is survived by his wife Judy, one son, Toby two daughters, Tammy and Andrea. Dermitt Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Shirley Steff Kirby, age 86, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Tuesday, (May 09, 2023) at her daughter's home in Bowling Green. She was born on June 22, 1936 in Yeaman, KY, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Orney Edwards Steff. She was a retired teacher's aide with Bowling Green Independent Schools and an avid tennis player, who enjoyed golfing and playing solitaire. She was a member of Bethel Fellowship, though she had recently been attending the Church of Joy. He was born on December 7, 1942 in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of the late Albert and June Fligor Miller. He was a professor of mathematics at Western Kentucky University and was a member of NRA, Quail Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited and Southern KY Model Aero Club. Most of all he loved his family, especially doing things outdoors with his grandchildren. While living in Illinois he farmed and raised quail, pheasant and chuckers. He loved his bird dogs and once raised black lab retrievers...

Wendell Oneal Minton, age 72, of Russellville, KY, passed away October 31, 2021 in Russellville. He was born in Grayson County, the son of the late Raymond Minton and Sylvia (Powell) Minton Duvall. He is survived by his children, Adam (Anna), Casey and Luke Minton and Holly England; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Minton, Tammy Pierce , Cindy Decker and Danny Duvall . Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. November 7, 2021 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. on Sunday until time of service.
