William (Bill) E. Correll of Mystic, CT passed quietly in his sleep on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the age of 88. Bill was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived there until he joined the Air Force after high school. He often spoke about his first job delivering groceries to the wealthy residents of Detroit. Shortly after high school Bill joined the Air Force in the Strategic Air Command as a Rear Tail Gunner and Navigation Systems Technician. Along with several stateside postings he was deployed to Morocco. Bill spent most of his career with the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics and worked his way up to the Trident Submarine Program Manager...not bad for a high school...

John Francis Hennessey MD, formerly of Meriden passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. John (Jack to his friends and family) was born June 21,1930 in Montreal, Quebec to Herman Joseph Hennessey and Lottie Muriel (Logan). The oldest of three boys. John, an outstanding student, completed secondary school at the age of 14, graduated college (Loyola Montreal) at 18 and earned an MD from McGill University at the age of 22. On his first medical rotation in Bermuda, he met Joan Bell at a dance where she laughed so hard at his jokes he would later say "he had to marry her". Deacon Allen Paul Wallen, 92, of Mystic, CT died peacefully at home, on November 16, 2020. Allen, known to his friends as Paul, was born July 9, 1928 in Hartford to the late Mildred and Allen H. Wallen. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline and mother of his three children. He is survived by his wife Christine (Trudeau) Wallen. Paul was educated in Hartford and served in the Navy during World War II. After the war Paul worked in printing at Hunter Press and later at Burroughs Corporation Printing Division. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Billy, and two daughters, Catherine and Norma. Mary Jane received her Bachelor's in English education from Florida State University in 1959 and taught English to junior and senior high school students in Tallahassee at Augusta Raa and Rickards until 1972. She moved to Amherst Massachusetts and earned her doctoral degree in organizational development. Helen M. (Grover) Wollschlager, 101, a longtime resident of Fairview in Groton, died June 27, 2019 after a long battle with dementia. Born in East Hampton, MA she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Julia (LeVitre) Grover. She is survived by her two sons, John V. Wollschlager III of Atlanta, GA and James Wollschlager D.D.S (Carol) of Mystic; five grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her husband, John V.
