Jay Kappert, 51, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Glastonbury, CT, son of Charles and Carol Kappert, passed away on June 8, 2024. Jay was born in Manchester, CT on September 23, 1972. He spent the first four years of his life in Glastonbury CT, then re-located to Stuart, FL in 1976. He returned to Glastonbury in 1985. After graduating from Glastonbury High School in 1991, he attended Northeastern University in Boston, where he graduated with a BS degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Jay worked as a loss prevention detective for a number of companies including, Lowes, Sax Fifth Avenue, Walmart, and JC Penney. Thelma was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
