John K. Kopplin, 62 of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at his home. John was born on March 25, 1962, in Watertown, the son of Emil and Genevieve (Mand) Kopplin. He married the love of his life Wendy Klockow on May 14, 1983, in Johnson Creek, and the couple enjoyed 37 years of marriage before her passing in 2020. In his free time, John enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, playing poker and other card games with his friends, and doing puzzles. John liked being outside and spending time on the golf course. Joan E. Holston, 91 (formerly of Fort Atkinson), died on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at The View at Johnson Creek. She was born on October 2, 1933, in Watertown, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Lemke) Vergenz. Joan attended Watertown High School, and married Phillip Holston on July 2, 1955 at the First Congregational Church in Watertown. She had been a Fort Atkinson resident since 1961, moving from Watertown. She was a member of First Congregational Church, Fort Atkinson. Gary was born on February 7, 1953 to Walter and Sylvia Broom in Chippawa Falls, WI. Gary grew up and graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1971. After high school, he attended Technical College before settling into the Ixonia area and working locally in tool and die manufacturing until his retirement in 2015. Danny was born on October 25, 1948, son of Francis "Frank" and Elizabeth "Betty" Sullivan in Mauston and resided in Watertown most of his life. He was a graduate of Watertown High School. Danny proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. Elizabeth R. "Betty" Esselman passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the age of 89. Betty was born in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Alex and Elizabeth (Koltay) Horvath. She grew up in Stephenson, MI, and helped in her father's grocery store. In 1956, Betty married Patrick Esselman, eventually moving to Watertown in 1963. He preceded her in death in 1987. Early in life, Betty attended Alverno College in Milwaukee and earned her music degree. She taught piano for many years and was a very good pianist. Patrick and Betty owned and operated the A&W restaurant in Watertown from 1973 to 1983. Betty volunteered for Hospice in its early stages and found great satisfaction helping others...

Dolores F. Cosentino, MSgt, Ret. died on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at The View in Johnson Creek. Dolores was born January 15, 1924, in Hartford, WI. She served twenty years in the Air Force and retired in 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband MSgt Samuel Cosentino, her parents Fred and Angeline (Hetzel) Roethle, three brothers and three sisters. Gene was born on January 12, 1961, in Burlington, WI, the son of Leonard and Ruth (Zerniki) Asmann. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. He married the love of his life Wendy Shaw on August 9, 1986, at Yorkville Methodist Church and the couple enjoyed 38 years of marriage. Mary Jane (Schuett) Ninmann, age 87, Watertown, passed away on January 17, 2025. Mary Jane was born on October 5, 1937, in the town of Clyman to William and Florence (nee Thoma) Schuett. She married Willard Ninmann on May 15th, 1954. Willard proceeded her in death on November 8, 2012. Mary Jane worked for most of her career at Blain's Farm & Fleet in Watertown. She loved visiting with all the customers and made many long-lasting friendships. Jerry L. Braudt, 84, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Aurora Summit Hospital in Summit. Jerry was born on June 2, 1940, the son of Lowell and Alice (Root) Braudt. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy, retiring from the military after 30 years of service. Ruth was born on February 16, 1938, in Racine, the daughter of Heinrich and Selma (Scheel) Blanke. She married Donald Hartwig on October 11, 1958, and the couple enjoyed 41 years of marriage before his passing in 1999. Ruth worked in the engineering department at Lindberg Heavy Duty in Watertown for over forty years. Ruth loved being a grandmother and adored her grandchildren.
