Chuck Copus, age 61, passed away at his home in Monona, Wis., on March 19, 2023. Chuck grew up in Whitewater but spent most of his life living in Monona. He was an avid fisherman and loved nature. In the early 2000s, Chuck was involved in a bicycle accident, and would spend the next 17 years being over-prescribed fentanyl, oxycodone, morphine, and other unnecessary prescription drugs. In 2017 he overdosed and nearly died. For the past 6 years Chuck had been clean, relying only on cannabis. He was born on May 9, 1945, and raised in Spooner, Wis., the son of Gordon and Ruth (Magnusson) Johnson. He married Camille "Camie" Wesolowski Kloth on June 9, 1975, in Shell Lake, Wis. Roland L. "Rollie" Peck, 87, died unexpectedly on October 19, 2022, at his home in Madison. He was born January 7, 1935, in Marshall, Wisconsin, the first child of Robert and Irma (Wright) Peck and the first grandchild of Henry and Zara Peck. Rollie graduated from Marshall High School as class valedictorian. After high school, he served four years in the U.S. Navy. Early in his career with IBM, he married Dian Poole of Madison.
