Karen Jean McLaud, was called home to be reunited with long missed family members on August 11, 2021. Born on January 5, 1958, the third of five children to Maurice Shepard and Carolyn Jean (Peet) McLaud, Karen began her life in Schenectady and moved with her growing family to Laurens, then Florida, and back to Laurens. The family moved to Bainbridge in 1973 and stayed until all siblings had gone off in other directions. In 1982 Karen moved with her parents out to the Lockport area where Karen, an avid Dallas Cowboys fan up to that point, began wavering in her loyalties to become an even greater fan of the Buffalo Bills in the Jim Kelly era. Marie A. (Massimiano) Impaglia, age 93, passed away peacefully at home in the care of her loving family on July 9, 2021. Marie was born in Auburn, New York to the late Rocco and Elisa (Bartoli) Massimiano. It was on Cottage Street in Auburn, as a child, that she met her future husband, Michael. Marie graduated from East High School. She studied art at Syracuse University and finally completed her art degree at Onondaga Community College at the age of 64. Elizabeth "Betsy" (DeSantis) Simao, passed away peacefully on February 25th at Upstate Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of Solvay, she and her husband Tony, also took great pleasure in spending time and entertaining at their Cape Vincent, NY and Melbourne, FL homes. In 2018, Betsy moved to Onondaga Hill to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Roseanne and Rick Scrimale, and their children, Nina, Antonio and Nicoletta. Donald D. Davis, Jr., 48, of Fayetteville, passed away from ALS Tuesday at Upstate University Hospital. He was born and raised in Utica. Don was a pediatric SWAT nurse at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital for many years until retiring in 2017. He enjoyed photography, gaming and hiking and was a member of Manlius First Baptist Church in Manlius. Rosalie passed away peacefully with family by her side in her home in Eden Prairie, MN on Sunday November 17, 2019 at the age of 91. Rosalie was born in Parsons, PA on September 28, 1928 to Catherine and John Potichko. She was the youngest of nine children and was the last surviving child.
