She was born in Phoenix, NY to the late Thomas Bennett Barrington, Sr. and late Myrtle Alice (Jutton) Barrington of Solvay, NY. After attending Jordan Elbridge High School, she met the love of her life, Willis James Vargason of Mottville, NY.
