Marie Rachel (Hart) Perry, 86, of Memphis, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday in the ICU at Upstate Community Hospital in Syracuse, surrounded by her loving family. Rachel was born on June 21, 1939, in Massena, NY, the daughter of the late Romeo and Margaret (Hurteau) Hart, and was the second of seven children. She graduated from Massena Central High School, where she was an excellent student, co-captain of the girls' basketball team, a varsity football and basketball cheerleader, and a model in the senior fashion show. Ronald J. Lagoe, 75, passed away on Monday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse after a brief illness. Ronald served as the executive director of the Hospital Executive Council for over 40 years and took great pride in his career. Ronald published many peer-reviewed articles throughout his life, primarily focused on healthcare planning. He had many personal interests as well, including astronomy, space exploration, history, and football. He earned multiple degrees from Ohio University, including two individual PhDs, one in History and one in Public Administration. Peter was a 1951 graduate of Oswego High School and received his master's degree from New York University. A U.S. Army veteran, he was an industrial arts and driver education teacher for 32 years at Bellport High School before retiring in 1989.
