Ernest was born and raised in MA. He served in the US Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a SMSGT (E-8). He was a graduate of The University of West Florida, an avid reader and was an Episcopalian. Thomas Lorance Hendrix, 78, of North Augusta, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023. Mr. Hendrix was born in Ridge Spring, SC, son of the late McCoy Hendrix, Sr. and Pauline Williams Hendrix. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion Post #133. He retired from Savannah River Site and was the owner of Hendrix Used Cars. Dennis Lane Smiley, 71, of Greenwood Shores, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by his family on August 11, 2023. He was a son of the late Travis Smiley and Polly Whelchel Smiley Bell. Dennis was passionate about sharing the word of God with everyone around him. He also enjoyed fishing, going to flea markets, and doing lawn care. Originally from Gaffney, Dennis was employed with Cherokee Finishing and Alkhan Labels. Timothy John Hall, 59, of Aiken, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023. He was born in Aiken County, the son of Donnell Franklin Hall and the late John Henry Hall. He loved fishing and going out to eat. Surviving are his mother; sister, Sherrill Johnson; children, Jessica Hall and Timothy John Hall, Jr.; and wife, Tonya Hall. James "Jay" Walker Trapp Jr., 69, of Leesville, South Carolina, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2023. James "Jay" to all, was born to James Walker Trapp and Julia Adelaide Faucher Trapp on August 31, 1953 in Columbia, South Carolina. Jay was a wildly talented musician, especially on the electric and upright bass. He toured up and down the East Coast with his bands Road Work, Pinewood Moore, and Nappy Patch. Our son, Riley Allegretti was diagnosed with full trisomy 13 when I was just 20 weeks pregnant with him. Along with T13, he had an underdeveloped brain and heart. Riley was born on November 18, 2020 and gave us three strong, calm, beautiful breaths before going to Heaven. His life brought out the best in those both far and near. Friends, family, and strangers.
