Mark Workman, 46, of York, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, with his family by his side. Born Sunday, January 1, 1978, in Rockford, Illinois, he was the son of Brenda Johnson, but was lovingly adored and raised by his late grandparents, Beverly and Lester Weiss. Mark enjoyed running, gardening and spending time with his family - especially his two furry companions, Autumn and Remy. With his passion for running, Mark was constantly running marathons, half marathons and trail runs. He was proud to be able to say that he completed two Boston Marathons within his running career. Ralph Lear Holman passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 99 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Mr. Holman was born in Russellville, Kentucky, to the late Marion A. Holman and Addie Gertrude Holman. He married Mary Gordon Miller of Adairville, Kentucky, in 1943, and they were united for 73 years until her death in 2017. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946 aboard the USS New Mexico in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He graduated from Western Kentucky State College and subsequently earned a master's degree at the University of Kentucky. Daniel Floyd Parks, 73, of York, South Carolina, peacefully passed away at his home with his family by his side after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's. Born January 22, 1951, a native of Rock Hill, he was the son of the late James Allen and Margaret Platt Parks. As a teenager, Danny played guitar and organ in a band and continued his passion of playing the guitar, banjo and mandolin throughout his life.
