Gail was born on August 18, 1946, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late Walter Earl Spencer and Emogene (Jean) Lowell Steele Spencer. Mrs. Leandra Smith, lovingly known to everyone as Cotton, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 12, 2025 in Clover, SC, at the age of 89. Cotton was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was so loved and lived a wonderful, successful, happy life in WV and in SC.
