Teresa Jo Foster, 69, of North Vernon, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at her residence. Born September 27, 1954, in Seymour; she was the daughter of Lois (Fear) Copeland and the late James Copeland. She married David Foster on September 7, 1973, in Dudleytown; he survives. Teresa was a 1972 graduate of Seymour High School and worked on the assembly line for Cummins Engine Company in Seymour for 20 years before retiring in 2018, she was also a member of the Diesel Workers Union. Martha Jane Mathews, 91, of Madison, formerly of Butlerville, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at River Terrace Assisted Living in Madison. Born October 18, 1932, in Butlerville, she was the daughter of Theodore "Ted" and Edna (Huelson) Murphy. She married Edgar A. Mathews on March 23, 1951, in Vevay, Indiana; he preceded her in death on May 2, 2013. Jane was the Postmaster for the Butlerville Post Office and worked for the Postal Service for 30 plus years before retiring. She was a farmer's wife and helped Edgar run the farm.
