Jean M. (Wendler) Morgan, 73, formerly of Newport, Perry County, passed away Thursday May 8, 2025 at Arden Courts of Harrisburg. Born on November 28, 1951, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the later Earl and Catherine (Schneider) Wendler. Jean studied at the Thompson School of Business and gained the skills that would become the cornerstone of her professional life. She dedicated 35 years to working as a Computer Systems Analyst with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a role in which she was both respected and admired. His parents, the late Bernard F. and Naomi P. (Slagle) Smith, were the longtime proprietors of the Victory Restaurant and instilled in him a sense of community, patriotism and work ethic.
