Ruth DiBuono, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 3, 2023. She was born August 27, 1942 to George and Doris (Olmstead) Swanson and grew up in Manchester, NH. Ruth attended Central High School, graduating in 1961. Shortly after, she married the love of her life, Donald S. DiBuono Jr., and has lived in Hillsboro since 1969. Ruth dedicated her early years to being a loving and devoted stay-at-home mother to her four children. As they grew older, she embarked on a fulfilling career with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, where she worked until her retirement. Barbara Amelia Rose Tozer Knox was born June 10, 1922, in the seaside town of Bude, Cornwall, England. She was the third of five children raised by John and Rosa Tozer. Her father's death, when Barbara was only 13, had a profound and lasting effect. Her mother needed to convert their home into a bed and breakfast to support the family, moving the children to an outbuilding and deputizing the four girls as staff to serve the guests.
