Elaine graduated from Hampstead High School in 1945 and was also a 1948 graduate of the NH State Hospital School of Nursing. On February 14, 1948, she married Marshall Bean, together they raised 4 children in East Kingston, NH. Elaine was very active in the East Kingston Community United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and assisted with the Christmas Fair, the Easter Breakfast and Sunrise Service.
