Judith "Judy" Williamson Planner of Federalsburg, Maryland peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was 76 years old. James A. "Jim" Flood Sr., founder of the Dover Post Company in Dover, DE died May 13. He was 95. Jim ? known for his insistence on being called by his nickname and for his iron-grip handshake ? succumbed to late-onset Alzheimer Disease at his vacation home near St Michaels MD. His wife, Kathleen, several of her visiting family members and his caregiver were with him. Jim arrived back in Dover ? he had been the Wilmington News Journal papers' downstate bureau chief years earlier ? in 1975, where, backed by a group of local investors, he started up the Dover Post weekly newspaper, devoted to coverage of local news. Fletcher William Pratt of Dover, born January 30, 1982, in Chestertown, Maryland, died suddenly Sunday, November 27, 2022. Fletcher graduated from Caesar Rodney High School class of 2000. He worked his whole life as a carpenter and became a master of his craft. He loved working for Lundburg Builders of Stevensville, Maryland and Mike Bowers of Marydel, Maryland. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish wherever he could, and hunt on the family farm in Millington, Maryland.
