Dave was born in Halifax, PA, on December 15, 1941, and grew up in Lancaster, PA. Dave graduated from McCaskey High School and excelled in football and track, receiving All-State Honors in football and setting a Pennsylvania state record in javelin. She was born March 7, 1939, in Mitchell, South Dakota to Bertis Theron and Hazel (Miller) Savage. Early years were spent in South Dakota and McPherson, Kansas before moving to Aurora, Colorado in Junior High School. Judy Walker was born on a very cold January night in Valentine, Nebraska, in 1947. The car wouldn't start, so her mom walked the few blocks to the hospital. Judy was the daughter of William Robert Provins, who served in the US Navy in WWII, and Geneva Young Provins. Jeff was born on September 23, 1950, to Clarence Rupp and Mary Frank Rupp. He grew up on a small family farm on the Huntley Project in Worden, MT, where he learned the values of hard work and community advocacy from his parents. Shortly, thereafter, the Fergusons moved to Trident, Montana, just outside of Three Forks, Montana.
