William R. Davis, 83, passed away at his home on April 15, 2025. William was born on May 11, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Harold Duane Davis and Mary (Babcock) Davis. William was a retired Army Veteran. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army on October 31, 1965. He was a retired truck driver for Dolly Madison bakery in Columbus, Indiana and a retired school bus driver for the Bartholomew County School Corporation. She was born on July 10, 1936, in Midland, Michigan, to Howard and Hazel (Woodruff) Rogers. Marlene graduated from Midland Senior High School in 1954. During this time, she became pen pals with Bernard W. "Ben" Wolter while he was stationed in Germany. Their correspondence led to their marriage on May 12, 1956.
