Ester Vesseron Garza, age 98, passed away on December 8, 2021. She spent most of her life in Brownsville, Texas where she was born on September 27, 1923 to Luis and Ester Vesseron. In the wake of the Korean War Ester had one of the hardest jobs that could be had - that of a single mother. She lost her beloved husband, Osbaldo Garza, in the Korean conflict. Despite the hardships she faced she had the world's best smile, and a laugh that no one could forget once they heard it. She was a testament to strength and perseverance. Betty Jo Prentiss passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, only 4 days away from her 92nd birthday. She was born on December 4, 1928 in Harlingen, Texas, to Tom and Josie Crotchett. Betty met Jack Prentiss in 1952, they were wed on February 12, 1953, and moved to Corpus Christi shortly thereafter. Their marriage lasted 62 years until Jack's death. Betty was an avid hunter; starting at the age of 12 with her father and continuing with her husband, Jack, who also loved to hunt.
