Rose Jewel McCoy Shelor, born January 1, 1940 passed to her rest on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Thomas Shelor, her son, Samuel Thomas Shelor, Jr., and grandson Joey Dickerson. She and Tom moved to Baltimore in 1955, and she worked in the meat department of several grocery stores. She loved Hallmark movies, cookbooks, crafts, and thrift stores. She was a Seventh-day Adventist. She and Tom were active bowling and golfing. They moved to Dublin, Virginia in 2007. Bernice Louise Harper Sampson made the journey to her eternal home on May 8, 2021. She was born in United, W.Va. on April 24, 1931 to Dora (Stanley) and Van Harper. She was the youngest of eight children. She grew up in Cabin Creek, W.Va. where she met her husband and the love of her life, Harry, when she was just a teenager.
