Betty Kelso Plummer, 78, of Houston, TX passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born in Gatesville, TX on December 27, 1943 to Joe and Imogene Kelso. Betty moved to Odessa and attended Ector High School where she was a cheerleader and in the band. Betty married Jerry Plummer on June 2, 1962. Betty then went to work for Aldine Independent School District and worked with the district for 27 years. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Imogene Kelso; and niece, Lisa Fisher. Richard William Summers, 74, died on April 17, 2022. He was born on May 24, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Harold Summers and Maybelle Clemens. He was the eldest of four children. He attended San Jacinto high school and married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Erickson, in the fall of 1967. They celebrated 54 years of marriage last November. Boating and maritime enthusiast Peter (Pete) Sheffield Ring passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. Pete was born to Delmar Ring and Jean Ring on November 5, 1961 in Doylestown, PA. He was the youngest of four brothers and was known to be the most spontaneous and adrenaline seeking of them all. Harvey was born April 11, 1939 in Brenham, Texas to Edwin and Edna Krueger and had one older brother, Edward Al Krueger. Harvey grew up surrounded by many German-immigrant cousins, aunts, and uncles, and was very popular in high school where he played football and basketball and was named class 'Sweetheart' in 1956. She is survived by her sister Shelia Salinas and husband Adolfo Salinas, her brother Glen Powdrill and extended and beloved family and friends. Walter Blaney, also known on the stage as Zaney Blaney, was a proud native Texan who stood at 6'6". He was born in Dallas on February 11, 1928, the son of William H. Blaney and Harriet Silvus Blaney. Walter attended Woodrow Wilson High School and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from the University of Texas in Austin.
