Barbara Jean Cromley, 73, passed away after a brave battle with cancer on March 11th, 2021 in Gahanna, Ohio. She was born on March 17th, 1947 in Harrison Township (Pickaway County), Ohio to the late Robert Sr. and Leda (Diehl) Cromley. Barbara was a graduate of Wilmington College, earning her degree in education and loved teaching first graders. She went back to school to become a nurse at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, where she resided for many years. She also spent time working in a factory. Luise Alliston, age 78, passed away on December 31st, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on December 7th, 1942 in Northern Bavaria, Germany, in the border town of Hof on the Saale River. She met her husband, Johnnie Lee Alliston Jr., while he was stationed with the US Air Force in Hof. Luise and John fell in love and wed in February 1966 in Hof. Luise embraced the marriage with great courage and fortitude, as she would leave her home and family for a new life with John in the US. While Luise had opportunities for a career in the US, she felt it was more important for her to be a stay-at-home mom. Evelyn Gruich Freeman, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Chestnut Hill Assisted Living in Columbus, Ohio. She was born February 11, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Alexander and Kovilka Gruich; also preceded in death by her husband, John Robert "Bob" Freeman and her brother, Milan Daniel Gruich. Evelyn attended Hiram College, the University of North Texas and completed her Bachelor's degree at Texas Christian University at the age of 69. She was the director of Christian education at Holy Trinity Academy in Dallas, TX for four years.
