Carol Headley, age 88, of Allendale, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Carol was a lifelong member of Ottawa Reformed Church where she faithfully served as organist for 65 years. She was very active in the women's groups and enjoyed attending many RCW Triennials. Carol was a Kids Hope mentor, avid reader, and enjoyed bowling into her 80's. For 40 years Carol kept a diary. Barbara (Baker) Reed of Jenison, formerly from Spring Lake, was born August 3, 1936, in Muskegon, MI and she died on Friday June 2, 2023. She was 84 years old. Barb was the daughter of Harold and Ruth Baker. She had a lifetime love of music playing cello in Muskegon High School, then at Michigan State. Later she played in the Lansing, Grand Rapids, West Shore, and Holland Symphonies. She played the organ and piano and served in the leadership of different church congregations through the years. Edythe was born in Passaic, New Jersey to Nicholas and Sadie (Van Teyens) Prins on November 2,1934. She earned her teaching degree from Calvin College and taught elementary education at McBain Rural Agricultural School in McBain, Michigan for most of her career.
