Jo Ruth (Morisse) Neutzler passed away peacefully at the age of 99 on May 7, 2025, in Cuero, Texas. She was born on Tuesday June 9, 1925, in Yorktown, Texas in Dr. H.C. Eckhardt Hospital. Dr. Eckhardt was the attending doctor with nurse, Edith Roeder. Jo Ruth's parents were Henry Morisse and Johanna (Tips) Morisse of Nordheim, Texas. She was also welcomed by a brother, Henry Dick Morisse. Jo Ruth's grandparents were Burghard Morisse and Elise (Janssen) Morisse; Alfred Tips and Mathilde (Lenz) Tips. Juan G. "Johnny" Ortiz, 72 of Yorktown passed away March 8, 2025, at his home. He was born a twin in Yorktown on October 15, 1952, to the late Jose Ortiz Sr. and Maria Garcia Ortiz. Johnny was well known throughout the State. He made friends with everyone and would talk to anyone that would listen. His famous commit "I'm Johnny Ortiz from Yorktown, Texas, DeWitt County", was a true sign that he was proud of his heritage and where he was from. He also stated "I'm the oldest" even though he wasn't. Johnny joined the U.S. Marines April 9, 1975. Diana S. Butler, formerly of Cuero, TX, passed away February 15, 2025, in Victoria, TX. She was born May 19, 1938, to the late Mario and Elvira Bilotti Nappi in San Francisco, CA. Diana graduated from Balboa High in 1956, and she worked for Pacific Bell as a phone operator and seasonal work for See's Candy Factory. She married Jack Butler in Reno NV on August 3, 1957. Amelia Lechuga went home to the Lord after a brief illness during the early hours of February 1. Amelia was born in Nordheim, Texas to Enrique and Eulalia Lechuga on August 7, 1940. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Casildo Lechuga and Zenaido Lechuga. She is survived by her sister Mary Helen Balboa as well as her children Adrian Funari (Tracy), Jeanette Funari Damato (Chris), and Cynthia Ruiz (Pablo, Jr.). Alfred Emil Boehl, 71, of Goliad, passed peacefully from life in this world on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. He was born to parents Edmund G. Boehl and Herta Huber Boehl of Weesatche, on August 11, 1953. Alfred grew up in Weesatche until age 13, when the family moved to Houston in 1966. He graduated from Jefferson Davis H.S. in 1971, and from the University of Houston in 1976 (accounting). His most recent employers were Catholic Healthcare West and McKesson Corp. in San Francisco and in Dallas.
