Albert Wayne "Big Al" Hartman, 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Goliad, Texas, on January 23, 2026. Born in Nixon, Texas, Wayne grew up in Mound Creek and spent most of his life in Victoria and Goliad. Wayne worked as a machinist at Union Carbide and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to always lend a hand. He proudly served as a Vietnam veteran and always showed up for those he loved. Hard-headed and big-hearted, Wayne had a teasing sense of humor and loved deeply and unconditionally. Larry Clay Pullin passed away in San Antonio, TX on January 20, 2026 at the age of 79. He was born on September 16, 1946 to Alvy and Ethel Pullin in San Antonio, Texas. He married the love of his life, Cynthia Ann Wilson, in 1966. They were married for 59 years. Larry graduated from Nixon High School in 1964, where he excelled in all sports. He started his collegiate athletic career on a basketball scholarship to Southwest Texas State University. Rose Marie Warzecha Tam, 100 of Yorktown, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. She was born September 8, 1925, in Mustang Mott, DeWitt County to the late Vincent W. and Susie Dreymala Warzecha. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to quilt and embroidery. She made handmade quilts by piecing the tops and hanging them on old fashioned frames. She was a perfectionist in all her handwork. Jo Ruth (Morisse) Neutzler passed away peacefully at the age of 99 on May 7, 2025, in Cuero, Texas. She was born on Tuesday June 9, 1925, in Yorktown, Texas in Dr. H.C. Eckhardt Hospital. Dr. Eckhardt was the attending doctor with nurse, Edith Roeder. Jo Ruth's parents were Henry Morisse and Johanna (Tips) Morisse of Nordheim, Texas. Juan G. "Johnny" Ortiz, 72 of Yorktown passed away March 8, 2025, at his home. He was born a twin in Yorktown on October 15, 1952, to the late Jose Ortiz Sr. and Maria Garcia Ortiz. Johnny was well known throughout the State. He made friends with everyone and would talk to anyone that would listen. His famous commit "I'm Johnny Ortiz from Yorktown, Texas, DeWitt County", was a true sign that he was proud of his heritage and where he was from. He also stated "I'm the oldest" even though he wasn't. Johnny joined the U.S. Marines April 9, 1975.
