Juan was born in Mercedes, Texas on July 12, 1941, to Gorgonio Castillo and Maria Hernandez Castillo. He married Isabel Garcia on August 13, 1960, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. They were married for forty-seven years until her passing in 2007. Juan retired from Hale Center ISD where he worked for many years as a groundskeeper and bus maintenance. He was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center where he served as President of the Cursillista. He was also a Eucharistic Minister, and an usher until 2021/2022. On January 23, 1958, she married Kent Taylor and together they began their family. Carol was a homemaker and loved her family. She was an Elder and Deaconess at First Christian Church of Plainview for over fifty years. Carol was a wonderful mother who was there to support and guide her family.
