Dottie Bell quietly passed away Thursday evening January 9th at 7:30 PM. She was born May 25, 1938 in Suffolk, Virginia. She married Richard Bell on Christmas Eve, 1970. In 1977, she joined Bell Engineering Inc as vice president in charge of sales and marketing. She then went back to school and studied Metallurgy, machine building, machine shop, and drafting. She brought in McDonald Aircraft, Boeing, Sikorsky Helicopter, Newport Shipyard and the Submarine base at Groton Connecticut Shipyard. Her biggest thrill was 10k and marathon running every other weekend which yielded a bookcase of trophies. Born in Owen, Wisconsin, Kay married her childhood sweetheart, Bill Hilt, after he served as a pilot during World War II. She studied music and education at the University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Together they built a successful optometric private practice and raised two daughters. During the polio epidemic, Kay initiated Wisconsin's first homebound program for children confined to iron lungs. Linda Marie Peters, age 90, of Naples, Florida passed away at AVOW Hospice on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Linda worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for several years in both Missouri and Florida.
