Raised in Three Oaks, MI, after graduating high school, Jon went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Adrian College and his master's from Siena Heights University, Adrian, MI. During Jon's 30-year teaching career, he taught high school mathematics, chemistry, and physics in various Michigan high schools from Flint to Buchanan, MI until his retirement in 1987.
