She was born March 27, 1943 to two young parents James Edwards and Dorothy (Jolly), Her parents faced the uncertainty of a world at war, threw caution to the wind and started a family of four children, the eldest being Jean, then Ronald James of Slaton TX, Dorothy Gale (Haynes) of Ruidoso Downs, NM and Katherine Louise (Fortier) of San Angelo, TX. Abel Z Arriazola, 62 of Goliad, Texas entered his heavenly home on July 9, 2023. He was born to the late Valentine and Aurora Arriazola on November 23, 1960 in Hamlin, Texas. Abel's career in law enforcement began in 1978 with the Goliad County Sheriff's Office as a dispatcher at the young age of 17 while attending Goliad High School. Abel's 34 year career with the Victoria County Sheriff's Office began in 1980 until his retirement in January 2014 as Captain. Betty Blanche Sullivan passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023, in Victoria, Texas. Betty was born August 6, 1936, to Joseph Walter Linney and Margaret Agnes Murphy Linney in Skidmore, Texas. She attended school in Skidmore, where in high school she was All-Campus Favorite and a star basketball player. She graduated from Skidmore High School in 1954. After graduation, Betty went to work in Beeville as a secretary for Union Producing Company and then for Hewitt and Dougherty. Garlan Ray Hoff passed away from this world and went on to his eternal home in heaven on November 20, 2022. Born July 19, 1935, Garlan lived his entire life on the family ranch in northern Goliad County, the fourth generation to do so. He and his father operated H&H Cattle Company, a family cattle feeding business and cow/calf operation.
