Lorraine A. Kenny Lanphere of Oakes, ND passed away January 1, 2025 at the Oakes Good Samaritan Society, Oakes, ND. Lorraine Agnes Lacher, daughter of Wendell and Agnes (Biegler) Lacher was born November 3, 1935 in Aberdeen, SD. Lorrine grew up on the family farm near Mina Lake. It was her job to gather the eggs. The family moved to Aberdeen when Lorraine was about 14 years old. She lived there with her parents until she married Robert Kenny on March 31, 1956 in Houghton, SD. To this union 8 children were born. When Robert and Lorraine divorced after many years of marriage she moved to Oakes, ND and began a career as a certified nursing assistant at the Oakes Good Samaritan Center....

Daphne Kinzler, 87, of Oakes, ND passed away on October 19, 2023 at Aberdeen Health and Rehab with family by her side. Her funeral service will be held on October 26, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Oakes with visitation held one hour prior. Burial will follow at Oakes View Cemetery near Oakes. Robert Wayne Wright was born May 7, 1940 in Britton, SD to Henry and Inez (Thorpe) Wright. They brought their second son home to the family farm near Hecla where he would live until December 2, 2021, when due to poor health he had to enter a long term care facility. No matter where he laid his head; his heart was always here on the farm. He attended a country school through the 8th grade and then graduated from Hecla High School. He was born September 29, 1944 in Edgeley, ND to Benjamin and Johanna (Weizerich) Frigen. Shortly after birth, he moved to the family farm near Monango where he lived for the next 78 years. Daniel "Pete" Wagner, 91, died August 14, 2023, in his home in Oakes, ND. Daniel "Pete" Theodore Wagner was born on June 27, 1932, in rural LaMoure County, ND, to Theodore and Mildred (Cox) Wagner. One of ten children, he grew up on the family farm where he attended Wright County School in Wright Township. Pete made a trip to the West coast before returning to North Dakota. DeLane Arthur Bollinger passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakes, ND surrounded by family. He was 87. DeLane was born April 24, 1936 to Adam and Hulda (Bertsch) Bollinger on his Bollinger grandparents' homestead farm in Potsdam Township north of Monango. In 1937 the family relocated to a rented farm just east of Merricourt, living there for four years. In September 1941, when an early snowfall interrupted threshing, the family moved to a newly purchased farm in Hamburg Township seven miles west of Monango. DeLane lived there the rest of his life.
