Sara Walters Lowe passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on August 10, 2025 at Southminster in Charlotte, NC. Sara was born November 5, 1935 in Greensboro, NC to Joe William Walters and Irene Culbreth Walters. She attended public schools in Greensboro and graduated from Greensboro Senior High School. She also graduated from Saint Mary's Junior College in Raleigh, NC where she was senior class President in 1955, and then from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1957 where she was a member and President of the Chi Omega sorority. A memorial service was held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, with a private interment at a later date. Marilyn J. Allcock, 86, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. She was born on February 7, 1939, in Chicago, IL, to Richard Bowen and Loretta McInerney. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, her sister Patricia Haas of Chicago, and her beloved husband, Harry.
