Alice Evelyn Rex, 99, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024. Born in Bellingham, Washington on November 28, 1925 to John and Irene Connell, she joined a family of two older brothers, Jack and Roy and an older sister, Evelyn. On a shopping trip to Seattle with her girlfriend, Dee Denton, she was introduced to her future husband Rainey Rex. They married on May 19th, 1951 and raised their family in Kitsap County. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Alice also took pleasure working with students in the Central Kitsap school district libraries. Kenneth E. Roberts (Honest Oral) Born 1935 and raised in the Manette area; Ken graduated from Bremerton High School in 1953. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 as a Radio Operator. In 1957 he married Secundina (Emma) Liligan. In 1964 Ken volunteered for the Military Assistance Command Vietnam as an advisor. Ken served on a MACV team training South Vietnamese Army Units. Timothy Richard Bishop, 68, passed away on July 27th. Tim was born June 3, 1956 in Fort Wayne, IN. After Tim graduated from Carroll High School, he completed his carpenter apprenticeship and dedicated the next 40 years of his life to the trade.. He retired in 2019 as a Superintendent for The Hagerman Group. Tim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon; daughters Andrea Corona (Joe) and Amanda Locke (Mike); and his five grandchildren. Karen Elaine Timmerman (Shardelman) (December 17, 1959) went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 15, 2020. She and her husband, Alex Timmerman, were married for 38 years and had been together for a total of 45 years. Her great dane Sawyer, he passed away the same day. Karen was preceded in death by her father Munson (Mike) Shardelman, and is survived by her mother Dora Shardelman, her husband, her two sons Jacob (Erin) and Jared (Victoria), her brother Michael Shardelman (Bonnie) and her sister Terri as well as four nieces, five nephews, and two grandnieces.
